Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in February. This campaign has closed, but you can still support our program by making a donation.
To counteract the state of California’s severe K-12 math and science teacher shortage, CalTeach/MAST serves to inspire, prepare and support future STEM teachers. We aim to increase the number, quality, and diversity of STEM teachers entering the teacher workforce. This campaign gives our friends, family, and community the opportunity to help UC Davis students pay for fees and costs required to apply to teacher preparation and credential programs.
About the fund:
Our program currently pays for one requisite credential program exam fee (of up to three required) and pays a mileage/travel stipend to students completing their required internship experience outside of Davis. Raising money through this project will allow us to further assist students by paying for the total number of exams needed to apply to a single subject mathematics or science credential program. CalTeach/MAST does not have a sufficient budget to pay for the credential program application fee. Additional funds will allow more students to afford to consider applying to credential programs, and will fully fund those who have already made that commitment.
About your donation:
CalTeach/MAST needs help to continue providing essential support to future STEM teachers. Having enough highly-qualified STEM teachers is crucial to educate the next generation of citizens, voters, parents, friends, and neighbors--in other words, all of us. We are asking our community—you—to donate to this very worthwhile cause.
