Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in February. This campaign has closed, but we are grateful for your support!
Each year, UC Davis’s Formula Racing Team designs and manufactures a fully-electric racing car from scratch and then enter in the Formula SAE competition. Our team is entirely student-run - all design, fabrication, planning, marketing, outreach, and racing is done by students. Last year, we placed 4th overall, 2nd in a 22km endurance race, and 4th in efficiency topping several prestigious universities.
About the fund
Your contributions will support Formula Racing and its mission: to produce innovative engineers for the future, develop high-performance electric vehicles, and support our community and environment. Students leave the team with hands-on engineering experience with communicating, working in groups, and managing time effectively. Many of our alumni go off to make significant impacts in the world with their Formula Racing experiences.
About your donation
Since we rely primarily on sponsorships and donations, your contribution will ensure that we will have enough funds to purchase the materials necessary to take student designs from concept to reality, and produce an electric vehicle that will compete amongst top universities from around the world.
