Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in October. This campaign has closed, but you can still support our program by making a donation.
The UC Davis Staff Emergency Fund will aid staff members in times of personal hardship with grants of up to $1,000.
The generous donations from the Fall Crowdfunding Campaign enabled us to provide grants to 36 employees in need. Please donate now for this Spring event so we can support more of our staff experiencing financial hardships.
Assistance is typically provided to a staff member whose income cannot cover their needs, or the employee has experienced a loss of wages through no fault of their own. Grants would typically be used to help with housing, utilities, food, or transportation. Assistance can also be provided when employees with limited resources are faced with medical expenses or expenses related to the death of an immediate family member, or a change in the family situation.
Put empathy first
It is critical to recognize that employees who are reaching out for assistance from the fund are usually doing so from a place of stress, uncertainty, and anxiety. Therefore, interactions with applicants must prioritize dignity and respect and should epitomize our Principles of Community.
