R.I.V.E.R. (Recognizing Illnesses Very Early and Responding) is a student-run, public health organization that works to bridge the gap between preventive care and medical treatment, and we are proud to announce that we are starting the R.I.V.E.R. Mobile Pediatric Clinic! As a mobile clinic, we will be able to reach communities far from nearby health institutions and with poor public transit, while flexibly adapting to patient needs as they change over the years. This mobile clinic will allow us to reach uninsured and impoverished pediatric populations and provide much-needed medical care.
We are providing emphasis in preventative healthcare by addressing Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs), which are emotionally traumatic experiences that impact an individual before the age of 18 that ultimately leads to chronic disease in adulthood. Our work will be school-based and impact generations of adolescents and teens. We also plan to provide flu shots and immunizations.
Your contribution will ensure that we are able to purchase the necessary medical supplies to keep the clinic running and able to provide mental and physical health services to pediatric populations across Sacramento County and surrounding regions!
Help us stock basic supplies such as Band-Aids, tongue depressors, and gowns.
$50 can help transport our mobile medical clinic to schools around Sacramento County and surrounding regions. We will be visiting one school every Saturday to provide ACE and primary care services from 10 am-4 pm.
Your gift of $100 will help us purchase medicine for our clinic. You will receive a personalized thank you card!
Your gift of $250 will help us purchase medical devices such as a glucometer, thermometer and scale. You will receive a signed team photo as well as a personalized thank you card.
A donation of $1,000 will help us pay for our vehicle insurance and allow us to continue to provide free mental and physical health services to children! You will receive an ACE t-shirt and all benefits above.
