The Aggie Dream Fund like the AB540 and Undocumented Student Center was built on the foundation of educational equity and opportunity.
The Fund was established to help provide our students an opportunity to continue to prioritize their health, coursework, and families by helping provide financial support to basic needs like groceries, transportation, rent, medical support, and more.
Undocumented immigrant students have faced several issues accessing basic needs given their immigration status. These barriers have heightened during the wildfires, the shift to virtual courses, the continued COVID-19 pandemic, and our heightened anti-immigrant political and social context. In spite of this, our students continue to remain engaged and are leading community and familial responsibilities while engaging in coursework.
Your donation to the Aggie Dream Fund (any amount is welcomed and helpful) will help provide our students an opportunity to continue to prioritize their basic needs.
$25 covers a meal, gas or public transportation and we highlight you via social media.
$50 covers gas or public transportation for a week and we highlight you via social media.
$100 covers a copay for a doctor’s visit, personal hygiene products and OR groceries for a week and we highlight you via our newsletter.
$250 helps with basic needs like mental health support and or an emergency car maintenance payment and we highlight you via our social media, newsletter, and send you a personalized thank you video.
$500 helps towards one month’s rent, housing deposit, or an opportunity grant and you get highlighted via our newsletter and get to know our student interns and their current educational experiences via a private celebratory online gathering.
$1,500 helps offset tuition expenses or legal filing fees and you get highlighted via our newsletter and connect with current students and alumni via a private celebratory online gathering.
