Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in October. This campaign has closed, but you can still support our program by making a donation.
STRETCH GOAL:
Thank you to everyone who got us to our original goal of $3,500!!! Our new stretch goal of $5,000 will help our members get individual hands-on experience through building their own rocket and expand our team's manufacturing capabilities.
ECLIPSE Rocketry is a student-run team that designs, builds, and flies rockets at the NASA University Student Launch Initiative competition every year. This year, our goals include:
In the past, we have developed systems such as a lander with photographic capabilities, an ice collecting rover, and a soil sampling rover. As a team, we have successfully launched and recovered multiple rockets. ECLIPSE has survived many setbacks and is perfectly poised to grow and succeed with your help.
Your donation will enable passionate UC Davis students to work together to design a multi-system rocket and payload that crosses many disciplines of science and engineering. Students will gain valuable experiences including hands-on manufacturing and testing, as well as develop time management, writing, and communication skills during their time with our club. They also have the chance to develop professional connections and explore new facets of engineering. ECLIPSE alumni have gone on to be hired by aerospace industry leaders and pursue advanced degrees thanks to the experience they gained from ECLIPSE.
Your gift of $10 can be used to purchase epoxy, bulkheads, hardware, or other materials for the rocket. It can also be used to purchase safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and respirator.
Your gift of $25 can be used to purchase 3D printer filament for building our payload. It can also be used to purchase electronic components for the payload such as an Arduino board. It can also be used to purchase shock cords for the subscale rocket.
Your gift of $50 can be used to purchase servo motors and other electronic components required for the payload. It can also be used to purchase shock cords for the full scale rocket.
Your gift of $100 can be used to buy fiberglass cloth, which is used to reinforce our rocket fins. It can also be used to purchase a nosecone for either the subscale or the full scale rocket.
Your gift of $250 can be used to build our subscale rocket. It covers the cost of airframes, bulkheads, motor mounting systems, and other components needed to create a successful subscale rocket
Your gift of $500 can be used to purchase a solid propellant rocket motor for our full scale rocket. It can also be used to purchase a GPS system, altimeter or accelerometer for our rockets.
Your gift of $1000 can be used to help get our team to competition! It will cover transportation and housing costs while we attend the weeklong competition at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
