Week Three Update

October 21, 2022

There are only 10 days left to donate to The CARE Project! We are so grateful for the support we have received thus far and would love to make this last week of Crowdfunding our best week yet! As a reminder, The CARE Project is comprised of Art Therapists, Reiki practitioners, and volunteers!

Volunteers are an integral part of UC Davis Medical Center. Your donation will directly support The CARE Project's volunteer program and all the amazing work they do for our patients. For this week's update, we are honored to be able to highlight a few of our talented volunteers!

Week Two Update

October 14, 2022

The CARE Project is thrilled to announce we have exceeded 30% of our goal thanks to the generous donations of 24 donors! Funds generated from this campaign will create programs promoting the health and wellness of UC Davis patients. At UC Davis Medical Center, we strive to honor the cultures and traditions unique to our patients. The CARE Project uses donor funds to host special events, celebrating holidays important to patients and their families. This year, we have celebrated Father's Day, Fourth of July, Rosh Hashanah, and Indigenous Peoples' Day. In the upcoming months, we look forward to honoring Diwali, Dia de los Muertos, Veteran's Day, Hmong New Year, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwawnza and more!

Week One Update

October 06, 2022

We are currently at 14% of our goal thanks to the generosity of 14 donors! Your support empowers The CARE Project to host therapeutic groups and special events for patients at UC Davis Medical Center, such as "Growing with CARE" a weekly art therapy support group for antepartum mothers. Here, mothers who are admitted for the hospital for close observation can receive emotional and social support before they welcome their little ones.

Next week, we look forward to celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day with our patients! Remember, there is still time to donate, and every amount helps us support our patients with dignity and empathy!

In this group, mothers can meet each other, receive social support, and engage in a self-expressive art directive to help process emotions.
