There are many causes out there that are worth supporting. We appreciate everyone who chose to support the Staff Emergency Fund. We all know staff that make UC Davis great, but we also likely know staff that need help.  This program to support staff would not be possible without your generosity.

On Track with the Staff Emergency Fund

We’re on track to meet our goal, which makes it possible for UC Davis to extend critical financial support when staff are experiencing unforeseen emergencies.

HR set a goal of raising $10,000 for the Staff Emergency Fund as part of Crowdfund (through Oct. 31) and thanks to the generous support of so many colleagues, we can continue awarding grants to relieve some financial burden on staff in need.

We’ve seen the impact the Staff Emergency Fund has on staff and their families and we’re incredibly proud to have a role in this important effort.

To everyone who has contributed to the fund, or helped by spreading the word, please accept our sincere thanks.

I am happy to support the Staff Emergency Fund!  UC Davis and UC Davis Health have some of the best and hardest-working staff around. These staff members dedicate themselves to making our campus and community a better place, day in and day out.  Some of these very staff members find themselves in difficult times and the Staff Emergency Fund is a wonderful way to support our amazing colleagues in times of need.  

We have been able to help over 250 staff since the fund started.  Early on, the fund was helping many people who had financial needs due to COVID.  For many of us, things may now be starting to feel somewhat routine again.  However, there are still many individuals who are facing financial hardship for reasons other than the pandemic.  We need your help to grow the fund in order to continue helping staff.  Please consider joining me in giving to the Staff Emergency Fund!
