We are Formula Racing at UC Davis (FRUCD). Each year, we design, manufacture, and compete with a fully electric racecar from scratch. Our team is entirely student run --- all design, fabrication, planning, marketing, outreach, and racing is done by students. In the last in-person season, we placed 4th overall against top universities from around the world and hope to build on this strong performance. Our students leave the team with hands-on engineering experience with communicating, working in groups, and managing time effectively. Many of our alumni go off to make significant impacts in the world with their Formula Racing experiences.
ABOUT THE FUND
Your gifts will support FRUCD and its mission to engage student engineers, produce successful racecars, and support our community and environment. Specifically, we will use the funds generated from this crowdfunding effort to fuel our electric powertrain development. This year, we will be producing FE10 with the limited human resources and production sites due to the current renovation of the facility and COVID-19 guidelines. Still, we are excited to see this project come to life by physically manufacturing it and gaining hands-on experience. Through crowdfunding, we hope to ensure that money will not be an issue in providing our engineers with the fun and intricate manufacturing experience they deserve.

Your gift of $2500 will allow us to thrive creatively by implementing parts which we have not been able to in the past due to budget shortages (such as a full telemetry data acquisition system).
