The LSFA is a long-standing active employee resource group on the Davis campus that is raising funds to empower a greater percentage of Latinx staff at UC Davis towards greater upward career mobility.
Donors should consider giving to the LSFA if their giving priorities align with providing for the professional development of Latinx staff and faculty at UC Davis. LSFA works to ensure that Latinx staff of the university are not only represented adequately amongst the ranks of staff in academic and administrative units but that they have access to quality career development opportunities. This is a critical goal as many student development studies show greater degree achievement rate amongst Latinx students when a higher education institution has a commensurate percentage of Latinx faculty and staff. LSFA will build upon its established success by increasing its contributions towards staff development by growing its offerings to develop Latinx staff at UC Davis. Key metrics of this success will be measured by an increase in the number of professional networking/mentoring opportunities, greater access to professional development and educational opportunities through group training and its brown bag lunch presentations and an increased contribution towards the annual UC Davis Staff Assembly scholarship awards.

Supports an honorarium for an LFSA speaker

Allows LSFA to grow the number of scholarships offered through the Staff Assembly Scholarship
