Engineering Superheroes Initiative
Please help us build a unique and fun series of educational videos portraying the Science of Superheroes and their extraordinary powers! Inspired by the undivided attention that youths show to superheroes movies the excitement they get from the possibilities of making those fantastic imaginary worlds a reality, we created the Engineering Superheroes Initiative targeting students in K-12th grades.
Engineering Superheroes proposes a series of professionally produced videos that explores superheroes’ technologies and powers to engage and inspire a new generation of highly motivated engineers. We have filmed a Pilot video available at https://youtu.be/xzNizA0fZD8, and have created Lesson Plans to go with it (https://mse.engineering.ucdavis.edu/engineering-superheroes)! The video had over 6,000 views, and we had many requests for more videos in the series!
It is now your time to be a superhero and help us out! Your gift ensures we can support the cost of the production and buy supplies to have a highly professional video that will truly educate and impact our kids!
