About our program:
Since 2007, the Guardian Scholars Program has graduated almost 250 former foster youth students graduate from UC Davis. While supporting students during their academic journey, the Guardian Scholars Program also encourages students to plan beyond the degree. In preparation, the Professional Pathways project will support students’ aspirations to explore, discover, and engage in opportunities to develop professionally and learn more about their career paths.
About your donation:
Your gift to the Guardian Scholars Program will help with key projects like Professional Pathways. It will financially support students' travel fees, conference fees, and professional attire. It will also enable them to attend professional events that will help them network, learn more about their field, present their research, develop professional skills, and explore their post-graduation options. By providing these opportunities, students in the Guardian Scholars Program will be better equipped and knowledgeable to move forward in their career and graduate school goals.
All levels of donors will receive a Guardian Scholars Program sticker for your laptop or water bottles, a thank you card, acknowledgment on social media, and added to our “Friends of Guardian Scholars” listserv for program updates and future opportunities to engage and support our students.
Gifts of $25 will give students a head start in exploring their professional goals.
Gifts of $50 will provide opportunities for students to discover their professional interests and the paths to attain them.
Gifts of $100 will provide opportunities for students to engage in professional development events and conferences.
Gifts of $250 will provide opportunities for student to gain professional experiences and network.
