The Stem Cell Program at UC Davis is a state-of-the-art basic translational science and clinical research facility committed to finding treatments and cures for debilitating human diseases and injuries utilizing the full range of human stem cells.
Each summer an 8-week research opportunity is given to local high school students to participate in a hands-on stem cell, gene therapy and related research that may inspire them to pursue science degrees and careers. At the end of the summer program with the help of highly skilled and talented research mentors, each student will get the opportunity to present their research at a Research Meeting for students.
Any kind donation towards this Crowdfunding project will help provide the funds for two deserving high school students who represent the diversity of Sacramento’s local population who might not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in summer research internships due to socioeconomic constraints.
