The Advanced Modeling Aeronautics Team (AMAT) is all about providing students an exciting hands-on experience in aircraft design. Competing in the SAE Aero Design West competition, members will get a chance to conduct preliminary research and design, model and run simulations of aerodynamic and structural components in software, and finally construct an RC aircraft. Through this truly unique and unforgettable process, students emerge with valuable skills and experience to become leaders and innovators in the aerospace field!
Your contributions towards our team will allow us to continue to serve UC Davis' Aerospace students in this manner, and are absolutely invaluable to us-any amount is immensely appreciated!
Our team will use these proceeds to fund our current priorities which include the SAE registration fee ($1,500), purchase materials for the aircraft, and pay lodging fees during our competition.
