Support the UC Davis Earth and Planetary Sciences department

My name is Dr. Gold. I am a professor in the department of Earth & Planetary Sciences and I'm the new manager of the UC Davis fossil collection. Right now, most of our fossils are hidden away in cabinets and drawers--I want to share them with the Davis community. My goal is to combine pieces from our collection with new acquisitions, creating a public exhibition space in the Earth and Physical Sciences Building that tells the story of life on Earth.

To initiate this project, I propose purchasing a replica Tyrannosaurus rex skull, which will be a cornerstone of our public displays. This skull will bring attention to the exciting work being done at UC Davis, and will provide a valuable teaching tool for multiple popular classes. The Earth and Physical Sciences Building is right next to the Bohart Museum of Entomology, creating a perfect corner of campus for students and families to visit.

Why should donors support this project? Anyone who contributes will be invited to our opening event. And those who contribute $50 or more will have their names listed on the donor wall next to the skull! Besides, doesn't UC Davis deserve a T. rex?
