HackDavis is UC Davis' weekend-long collegiate hackathon dedicated to empowering student hackers to collaborate and build impactful projects that make the world a better place. HackDavis 2022 featured 750+ student attendees and 100+ project submissions dedicated to social good, making the event a huge success and one of the largest student run hackathons in California. We also partner with non-profit organizations like Habitat for Humanity, The Children's Scoliosis Foundation, Breathe California, Yolo County Food Bank, and ASUCD Pantry to support our local communities. Our community of directors and participants are dedicated to technological innovation with a purpose.

Our event is accessible and free to all participants; we ensure that students of all creeds and backgrounds are able to attend and create projects that they are passionate about. No former experience is needed, as we provide everything a participant needs during the event, from mixers to create teams, mentors as resources, and all equipment necessary to see visions come to life. The expansive and diverse board of directors also garner some of the most impactful professional experiences as the event is completely run by UC Davis students. They work around the clock throughout the entire year to see HackDavis come to fruition, making a tangible impact on our community by providing the largest student run event on campus.

Some of the most talented and passionate student hackers have a direct opportunity to engage with recruiters and prepare for the future. Students have the ability to take their studies and work outside of the classroom and into an interactive environment where they can work in teams, garnering a once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase their skills through tangible projects and awards. The team building and bonding also serves as a way to create and foster lasting friendships and connections, building our participants' networks and professional reach. The collaborative environment we curate each year extends beyond the hackathon weekend, we host workshops, mixers, fundraisers and more for our participants to ensure they're equipped for our event and beyond. From providing resumes and participating in interviews, the future leaders of tech can leverage the event to build lasting relationships in the industry.

We prompt our hackers to create whatever their heart desires, whether it's a web app, mobile app, hardware hack, open source tool, or even a simple website! Any social good oriented project is recommended, encouraging our participants to think of the sky as the limit. Our main focus is to provide them with a learning experience where they can have fun, enjoy our perks such as free meals and swag, caffeine, mentors, to ask their questions, and experiment with technology in an inclusive and engaging environment.
