Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in February. This campaign has closed, but you can still support our program by making a donation.
At UC Davis Public Scholarship and Engagement, we believe community engagement is at the heart of transformative change for the public good.
We invite you to champion the next generation of leaders in community engaged research. Your support will make a lasting impact not only on the lives of UC Davis graduate students, but also on the communities they serve.
Your generous gift to the Public Scholarship and Engagement Impact Fund will support a variety of initiatives, particularly our key focus: the Public Scholars for the Future program. Public Scholars for the Future empowers doctoral students to embark on community engaged research with non-university partners.
The impact of this program is profound. Since completing Public Scholars for the Future, Meghan Zulian, a Ph.D. candidate in earth and planetary sciences, said conversations with policymakers, fishers, and resource managers have informed her research on ocean acidification and potential solutions. Alyson Kim, a Ph.D. candidate in civil engineering, launched a new undergraduate course that teaches students how to address critical community needs through hands-on projects such as composters for the UC Davis Student Farm.
With your help, we can offer more students funding to initiate groundbreaking work that brings about positive change in our communities.
Together, we can forge a brighter and more interconnected future. Make a gift to Public Scholarship and Engagement and be a part of something truly remarkable.
