Support the Aggie Open Mics Fund!

We are Aggie Open Mics and we are raising money to foster a thriving artist community on campus! We are a club founded in 2021, and ever since then, we have been hosting on-campus open mic events 2-3 times per quarter which has a typical attendance of 80+ students per event. 

Securing funds for Aggie Open Mics is essential for creating vibrant and inclusive events, supporting talented student performers, and enhancing the overall cultural and artistic atmosphere on campus. Since our club was founded recently, we currently don't have the funds to host larger open mics. At the moment, we have been using classroom equipment to host events. With funds, we can get our own sound equipment, and this way, we are not limited to hosting events only in classrooms. 

We would have the ability to connect with our community by organizing events at local cafes, outdoor areas, music stores, and more. We can also better ensure that our performers sound their very best if we have our own sound equipment. We would also like to allocate funds to instruments and equipment for performers to use. Some performers don't have the means to transport essential equipment to events, inhibiting them from performing. With extra equipment available for them to use, we can ensure that anyone at the open mic can express themselves to their maximum potential. Finally, we aspire to offer refreshments at our events to encourage attendance and ensure the well-being of our participants. 

Achieving our fundraising goal would grant us independence with club equipment, enabling larger and higher quality events, off-campus open mics, and increased accessibility for aspiring performers who might otherwise face limitations.
