Crowdfund UC Davis thanks all of the donors who gave to this important project in February. This campaign has closed, but you can still support our program by making a donation.
Black Family Day is a time of festivity and joy as students and families congregate on the quad in the warm spring air. Black Family Day began during the spring of 1971 when students from the Black Student Union held a BBQ on the quad. Every year marks a monumental step towards black empowerment and strengthening of our families. The family reflects the resilience, diversity and openness of black culture. Over the years we have hosted countless lectures, speakers, entertainers, entertainment groups, vendors, etc to celebrate the achievements of the Black community and to educate about contemporary issues. Your contribution to the campaign will provide general support to Black Family Day, including, but not limited to, continuing to invite amazing, talented entertainers and scholars to provide knowledge supporting the community.
Your gift will help us provide canopies for community and campus resources tabling.
Your gift will help us provide cooling stations for the community attending.
